Researcher and writer on information, media, conflict, and culture
My research focuses on Russian disinformation and foreign information manipulation, information environments surrounding Ukraine, media narratives and accountability, and the ethical challenges of countering manipulation. I also develop media-literacy resources that help people evaluate claims, sources, evidence, and context.
I am a policy researcher and lecturer-researcher affiliated with The Hague University of Applied Sciences until recently, where I conducted research on misinformation and disinformation, developed educational materials, and presented findings to academic and professional audiences.
My work combines rigorous analysis with clear communication. I write reports, briefings, articles, educational resources, and public-facing material designed to make complex research understandable and useful.
Before focusing on public policy and information integrity, I spent more than a decade writing and editing for arts and culture publications, including music journalism. I still work part-time as a journalist, and that background continues to inform my attention to language, framing, narrative, and audience.
